The Present Movement connects entrepreneurs to meaningful organisations who support refugees and newcomers

About this Event

The Present Movement builds partnerships with initiatives, projects and NGOs that make a positive contribution to the lives of refugees. We connect them to our network of entrepreneurs who can help with certain issues that need to be solved for an even more positive impact.

As part of such a partnership, The Present Movement organises a meet-up every quarter, where an initiative with a beautiful mission that wants to improve the lives of refugees is given a stage. Here they can discuss the biggest issues live with an enterprising audience where we create a form of 'crowd consulting'.

On Tuesday April 7 2020 we will have our first meet-up in Den Haag, at Anna & Co. We will hear the inspiring story of 'Thaki'. Thaki empowers refugee and vulnerable children to learn and thrive through self-paced, motivational electronic educational tools. These tools are their key to accessing 21st century skills. Thaki collects retired electronic devices from corporations, institutions and individuals and then load the devices with software and high quality, interactive educational content and get them in the hands of young refugees with limited educational resources. Come and hear their inspiring story and help them out with their bottleneck!

Tickets are pay as you like, minimum amount is €1.
